Gas Goneaway Suppression file is validated across multiple, trusted sources. It is made up of a large number of consented datasets from organisations that have been notified when someone moves in or moves out of a property. This includes government information (e.g. from local authorities) and information from blue chip organisations that have a transactional relationships with their customers. GAS was established in 1992 to reduce the instances of mailing people who had moved house and is now used for cleaning the data for more than half of all direct mail in the UK.
Using GAS to cleanse your data will help you stay GDPR compliant. It also saves time, money and resources by not marketing to people who will not receive the communication.
